Microsoft Access introduction to database lessons integrate computers into curriculum. Students follow the detailed, illustrated instructions in TechnoMission to learn how to construct a simple database. They begin by exploring a database about space exploration. Then they plan and construct a database on a topic of their choice. A table is created and field properties are adjusted. Next they design a form and finally they generate a simple report. Students build data management skills with a fun, relevant, and unique project.
- Introduction to Database Lesson Plans
Students use Microsoft Access to organize and construct a unique database. They develop data management skills by filtering records to find data. Then they build a table and adjust field properties, make a form, and generate a report, becoming confident database creators.
- Readymade Step-by-Step Instructions
Student Workbook in PDF format encourages independent progress and differentiated instruction. Learners can work at an individual pace. Pictures illustrate and model examples. Sample Space Exploration database of 55 missions allows students to compare viewing options, practice filtering techniques, and add a record of themselves in a space suit!
- Advocate STEM, CTE, and ICT Learning with Microsoft Access Lessons
Promote essential technology skills for career readiness. Advance computer proficiencies to develop a groundwork in the technical skills future employers will be seeking.
- Foster Strong Soft Skills

I have been using this project for a few years now and love it! In fact, I love it so much that I just updated to a newer version so I could keep using it with our recent software update! The lessons and structure of the project are so well done- easy to follow, supported with text and graphics, sequenced and paced perfectly. TechnoKids lessons are a teacher's dream come true! And their customer service is the best I have ever worked with of any vendor I use. I truly can't say enough positive things about this company and their materials!

My students loved this project. Teaching database concepts is always a challenge, but this program made it understandable to the students and they loved working at their own pace.

I really enjoyed TechnoMission. The students really felt part of the curriculum being able to pick their own topic.
Mission is great being that learning Access can be difficult. Some students said yesterday that they think Access is easier, maybe due to the fact we are using Mission space exploration to teach it!
