Computer Curriculum is a set of technology projects
used by an education organization to offer
professional development to staff.
Each technology
projects has relevant activities for teachers to
help them learn how to use Microsoft applications:

Introduction to
Email: In this
project, educators are introduced to electronic mail or email. Using
the web-based email program Hotmail, they register for an account,
create an address book, send and receive messages, organize folders,
and customize preferences. Connections throughout the learning
activities are made to the teaching profession and effective ways it
can be used to communicate with colleagues, students, and parents.

Excel: In this
project, educators are introduced to the program Microsoft Excel by
producing an electronic grade book that stores grades, calculates
marks, displays the class average, and graphs data. Connections
throughout the learning activities are made to teaching spreadsheets
skills to students.

Hardware: In this project, educators learn about hardware. The
introduction includes input, output, and storage devices, as well as
the microprocessor, RAM, ROM, graphics card, and sound card. Upon
completion, educators will have a thorough understanding of each
component of the personal computer.

the Internet:
In this
project, educators acquire introductory knowledge of the Internet,
fundamental search skills, and methodology for integrating
telecommunication skills into lesson planning.

Introduction to PowerPoint: In this project,
educators learn how to create a presentation using the multimedia
software Microsoft PowerPoint. This introduction includes slide
layouts, formatting options, and slide show setup techniques.
Throughout the project, an emphasis is placed on using PowerPoint as
an instruction tool.

Windows:
In this project, educators are introduced to the Windows operating
system. They learn how to navigate within this environment, as well
as how to customize settings, use Windows programs, and setup
accounts. The emphasis is on acquiring skills to create kid-friendly
