The
TechnoFlash technology project integrates animation skills into a
meaningful task.
Students
learn how to use Macromedia Flash to animate the story “Out
of this World”, which tells the tale of an alien that
travels to another planet in search of adventure.
Computer Animation Made Easy!
The TechnoFlash technology project begins with Flash lesson
plans that have students experiment with the drawing tools.
Afterwards, they apply this
knowledge to create scenes using static, frame
by frame, motion tweening, shape tweening, and motion paths.
To make the scenes more interesting, sound effects are added to the production. Upon completion, the story is
exported as a Flash movie.
Once students have mastered the basics of animation, they
then apply their knowledge to produce their own Flash movie.
To start they select an idea from a list of suggestions. The
movie can be an animated scene, short story, or electronic
greeting card. Once students have made a decision, they use
the Flash program to create the production, using the hints
and tips provided as a guide. When the movie is complete, it
is reviewed using a checklist, and problem areas are
corrected. Once the movie is free from errors, it is
exported as a movie file, and shared with others.
